Infosys to Acquire Cybersecurity Firm The Missing Link to Strengthen Cyber Defense Capabilities

April 17, 2025 -Infosys, a global leader in digital services and consulting, has announced a definitive agreement to acquire The Missing Link, a leading cybersecurity services provider based in Australia. This acquisition is set to enhance Infosys' cybersecurity capabilities and expand its presence in the rapidly growing Australian market. The move reflects Infosys' ongoing commitment to helping global clients navigate their digital transformation journeys.

The Missing Link, headquartered in Australia, brings a team of highly skilled cybersecurity professionals to Infosys, including experts from Red Team, Blue Team, and a state-of-the-art Global Security Operations Centre (GSOC). The acquisition will further strengthen Infosys' global network of cyber defense centers. The company is known for offering a comprehensive range of cybersecurity services, including strategic advice, offensive and defensive security, cybersecurity risk assessments, compliance, and managed services. Their solutions are designed to protect networks, secure assets, and equip organizations with the tools to mitigate cyber threats. 

With this acquisition, Infosys and The Missing Link will be able to provide clients with end-to-end cybersecurity solutions that cover all aspects of a business's data, systems, and networks. Satish HC, Executive Vice President and Chief Delivery Officer at Infosys, emphasized the importance of technology-led transformation and cybersecurity as top priorities for global corporations. He expressed excitement about combining Infosys' cloud offerings, such as Infosys Cobalt, with The Missing Link’s expertise to create new, differentiated value for customers.

Alex Gambotto, Founder and CEO of The Missing Link, shared his excitement about the acquisition, noting that the company has achieved significant milestones over the past 27 years. He highlighted the potential for The Missing Link to leverage Infosys' global reach and expertise to enhance its capabilities and better serve clients worldwide. Although the ownership will change, Gambotto affirmed that the company’s commitment to delivering high-quality solutions remains unchanged.

The acquisition, advised by investment bank TH Global Capital, is expected to close during the first quarter of fiscal year 2026, subject to the completion of customary closing conditions.
